Bill Mancebo's player spotlight: Ron Holladay
This week we go to Fremont where the player spotlight shines on 72-year-old Ron Holladay. A Fremont resident for 15 years, Holladay chooses tennis as his game of choice and meets with a regular group of friends three times a week to play his favorite game. Winning doesn't come easy and Ron works hard to keep his edge by bicycling each day to maintain peak condition.
Holladay retired from a successful position as an electrical engineer some time back but still gives to the community. Now that school is almost back in session he'll be returning to Fremont Adult School in a teaching role to assist seniors in learning about computer science.
What this busy guy chooses to do in his spare time to relax is truly what he loves. When asked about his hobby activities he doesn't hesitate to say that tennis and computers are where his interests are. For TV time Ron tunes in to tennis matches and really likes to watch everything that PBS has to offer.
Holladay is also quite proud of his family and rightfully so as the father of three with seven grandchildren. As for snacking, Ron simply looks forward to going out for a good meal of steak and seafood with his lovely wife.
