The East Bay Chapter of the Bay Bombs Car Club will host its second annual car show on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Union City's Intermodal Station/BART parking lot. Approximately 300 people are expected to attend this free popular, family event.

Activities will support the New Haven Schools Foundation's "Pathways to Success" scholarship program for college-bound seniors from Union City's James Logan High School and Hayward's Conley-Caraballo High School, part of New Haven Unified School District. For the past 15 years, the Foundation has helped students pay college and vocational training expenses.

Entertainment, food and prizes are on the agenda. JJ Amaya (89.3 KOHL Radio) will be master of ceremonies accompanied by DJ Jimmy Jam (Time Warp Records) and the Ollin Anahuac Aztec Dance Group will perform. Tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Attendees can enter a raffle to win a three-wheel low-rider bike and other prizes. The Club will also hold a 50/50 raffle.
