Flight to Freedom Celebration
Submitted By Rose Britton
This is a celebration not to miss! Relax under the oaks and enjoy an evening of wine, beer, and great food, then witness three barn owls make their first "flight to freedom!"
In June, a nest of young downy barn owls fell from a palm tree. The surviving owlets were brought to Sulphur Creek Nature Center's wildlife hospital where they thrived under the Center's expert care. Now, fully grown, they are ready to spread their wings and live wild and free.
Help us celebrate this first flight. The evening will also include live music by Hugh and the Hefners, behind the scene tours and live animal appearances. Contributors include Buffalo Bill's Brew Pub, Thomas Coyne Winery, Westover Vineyards, Owl Ridge Wines, Payathai Restaurant, Phoenix Glass, and Trader Joe's.
This fundraising event benefits wildlife programs at Sulphur Creek Nature Center. Tickets are running out, so order now!
