Forecast is for a Hot August Niles

Saturday, August 15 is forecast as a scorcher for the entire family. Hot cars, great food, a 50/50 raffle and live oldies music will be on tap in Niles when Hot August Niles makes its annual appearance along Niles Boulevard. Although this event is known for classic automotive beauties including early model Fords and Chevys, no car is too old or too new to be excluded from display. For the rest of us, Hot August Niles is an opportunity to visit with those who spend extensive hours with their soulmates on wheels and admire these automotive sweethearts.
Car shows are popular during summer months, but this one is special, occupying an entire thoroughfare, adding rustic ambiance of the historic Fremont district of Niles. In its heyday, this community was a silent film capital, home to Charlie Chaplin, Broncho Billy and other notable stars. As a railroad hub, Niles was also an important part of the Transcontinental Railroad. Celebrating its connection with transportation, Hot August Niles features hot cars, great food, a 50/50 raffle and live oldies music along its main street, Niles Boulevard.
Niles shops will be open for business during the show so visitors can combine a day of strolling along sidewalks admiring sparkling, pristine automotive history and browsing in a historic community for unique collectibles and antiques. Visitors may also spend time viewing unique railroad cars at the Niles Station of the Niles Canyon Railway.
This year, as always, a large crowd from around the Tri-Cities and beyond is expected to come by to enjoy a hot time in Niles. Niles merchants and automotive enthusiast exhibitors invite you to share their passion at the Hot August Car Show.
The climate is guaranteed to be just right for a show like this!
