Gallery receives grants
This summer bought wonderful news to Olive Hyde Art Guild (OHAG). Earlier this year, the Board approved applying for two local grants and the Guild recently received notification that both were approved. In June the Alameda County Arts Commission and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors approved a $1,500 grant to OHAG through their ARTSFUND Grant Program. OHAG is especially grateful to Supervisor Scott Haggerty and his office for their support during this process.
In July, the Guild was notified that the Niles Rotary approved their grant request for capital funds to purchase a LCD projector and laptop computer for use in the Gallery. This equipment will be invaluable in working with artist, offering programs at the Gallery, maintaining records and for student submissions.
