Summer Reading Game theme is "Be Creative"
You can do that! Get some ideas from our blog at http://summereadingame.com. Come in and sign up for the Reading Game to win prizes. Come in to enjoy our shows. Activities funded by Newark Library League, the Alameda County Library System, S.F. Giants and ORACLE, Lawrence Hall of Science, Charles M. Schulz Museum, Chabot Space and Science Museum, and Scholastic Books. Don't forget, there is a Teen Reading Game and an adult one as well with great prizes!
Saturday, August 1 2 p.m. Crafts, we'll use old books to make art in the Meeting Room.
Thursday, August 6, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Carnival held outside the Newark Library
Friday, August 7 11 a.m. Movie, Bear Snores On, for preschoolers in the Meeting Room.
Saturday, August 8 2 p.m. Taiko drumming outside the library by Terry Eustice, Newark teacher.
Saturday, August 15 2 p.m. Easy Origami crafts in the Meeting Room.
Thursday, August 20 7 p.m. Family Storytime in the Park.

The Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-9 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays 10-6 p.m., Saturdays 10-5 p.m., and Sundays 1-5 p.m. Closed Mondays.
