July 22, 2009 > Health and Safety Fair Health and Safety Fair Submitted By Cristina Robles The Great Mall has even more to offer this Saturday with the Health and Safety Fair. The Fair will be located on the interior of the Great Mall and exterior of entrance 5A, near Dave & Buster's. California Highway Patrol will be providing parents with car seat info. Milpitas Fire Department will be doing a Jaws of Life demonstration as well as a display of two fire engines and a Kids Safe House (interactive display). Milpitas Police Department will have a K-9 demonstration, police car display, children's fingerprinting and information on personal safety. American Medical Response will put on an ambulance display and a blood pressure reading. First 5 Santa Clara will have interactive games for kids, information on Summer Safety Tips and hand out information on their services. Kidgits is a Simon Kids Club and we host an event once a month. All events put a focus on health, safety education, well-being and family togetherness while having fun. Smokey the Bear has not confirmed but we will have McGruff the Crime Dog there and possibly Chipper the Squirrel. This event is free for the entire family. It is highly interactive and kids will have a chance to explore a working fire truck and police car.
