Warriors Basketball Camp coming to Newark, Fremont

The Golden State Warriors announced that Warriors Basketball Camp will hold five-day sessions at both Silliman Activity Center in Newark (beginning Monday, July 6) and Ohlone College in Fremont (beginning Monday, August 3) this summer.

The weeklong camps (July 6-10 in Newark; August 3-7 in Fremont) will focus on individual skill development, the importance of fundamentals and the development of a healthy team attitude for boys and girls, ages 8-16, of all skill levels and abilities.

The staff at Warriors Basketball Camp is made up of current high school and college coaches, as well as current and former local college players. Most sessions of Warriors Basketball Camp also feature appearances by current and former Warriors players and coaches.

In the past year alone, appearances have been made by Warriors players Kelenna Azubuike, Marco Belinelli, Corey Maggette, Anthony Morrow, Ronny Turiaf, C.J. Watson and Brandan Wright. Additionally, recent appearances have been made by assistant coaches Keith Smart, Russell Turner and Stephen Silas, as well as Warriors Legends Nate Thurmond, Al Attles and Jim Barnett.
