Marine Corps opens new detachment in Hayward

The Marine Corps League Veterans Organization is opening a new detachment in downtown Hayward. We are seeking honorably discharged U.S. Marines, and Navy Corpsmen who served with Marines.
Costs to join are $30 per year to be a Marine Corps League member and $20 per year in club dues for club expenses. You will also need to supply a copy of your discharge papers.
Meetings are held at the Hayward Veterans Memorial Building, 22737 Main Street, Hayward. This is in downtown Hayward on Main Street between C and D streets, across from the fire station.
Our meeting time is at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month.
We are seeking 20 or more men and women to be "Charter Members" of this new detachment named "The Leathernecks."
Our first meeting will be Tuesday, July 7.
