World of imagination and beauty

The Crossroads Doll & Teddy Bear Show/Sale is a special blend of demonstrations, special events, and an awesome sales floor, and it is coming to the San Jose area on Saturday, June 13.
This lighthearted show and sale is for enthusiasts of all ages with dolls, teddy bears, antiques, supplies, & more.
Dolls have been around since mankind began...recently a carved and jointed doll was found in a gravesite circa 4000 BC.
They have continued in popularity through the ages and are currently number 4 in the collectibles industry, behind coins, stamps and sports memorabilia.
Dolls are fascinating from an artistic standpoint and have been circulated as statements of fashion since the 1400s. And teddy bears...who doesn't love them?
Although considered new (early 1900s), in the scheme of things, teddy bears have become the universal symbol of caring and are often used in a therapeutic setting. The existing and emerging teddy bear artists are creative and imaginative with the ability to evoke intense emotion in their work.
So what is a doll & teddy bear show/sale about? It's about leaving the cares of a very intense world behind and walking into a world of imagination and beauty, with the ability of bringing some of the magic home.
The event showcases all aspects of the doll and teddy bear world, from antique to modern. We bring seminars, demonstrations and often have the high profile artists sharing what they do.
Informal identification and doll stringing on-site. Adult tickets are $6, Children under 12 tickets $3.
The Doll & Teddy Bear show is held in San Jose in February, June and November each year and is dedicated to the art and craft of dolls, teddy bears, and all related items, from Antique to Modern.
