Newark Soccer Club is hosting a clinic put on by the Bay Area Ambassadors F.C. on Saturday, June 13th, from 2-5pm at MacGregor Field on Cedar Boulevard in Newark.
Bay Area Ambassadors play in the Northwest Region of the National Premier Soccer League, an affiliate of U.S. Soccer Federation. Their coach, Paul McCallion, and director, Tony Igwe, have long been associated with youth soccer in the Bay Area.
Any youth, 4-18 years old, interested in improving their skills are invited to attend the clinic. Cost is $8 which includes soccer skills training, a chance to get up close to the players from the Ambassadors and a free ticket to their match vs. Real San Jose at Chabot College Stadium in Hayward on Sunday, June 14, at 3 p.m. Additional tickets will be available for sale at the clinic.
Newark Soccer Club will also be holding fall registration at the clinic on June 13. Player fee is $130 and includes a uniform. Players must be 4-18 before August 1 of this year. Registration is currently being held every Thursday and Friday, 7-9 p.m., at Shakers Pizza on Newark Boulevard in Newark.
