Nguyen, a Newark Memorial High School graduate and currently a medical student at the UCLA School of Medicine, has been awarded a mentoring scholarship from Kaiser Permanente. Virginia will participate in a mentoring program with a Kaiser Permanente clinician, complete a 4-6 week clinical rotation at a Kaiser Permanente facility, and receive a $5,000 scholarship for her education.
