High school art show

Submitted By Diane La Mountaine

James Logan High art teachers, Julie Curson, Kate Lipman and Debra Collins with the help of the art association of the East Bay, Inc. have assembled art works of over sixty local students. The wide variety of media displayed includes paintings, digital art, printmaking, drawings, textiles, relief sculpture and much more selected work from the multicultural art, digital art, painting and drawing classes at James Logan High School in Union City.

When contacted about this opportunity, Dale Garvey, General Manager of Century 25 Theater at Union Landing, said, "Let's do this!" Dale worked through the details with the corporate office and got the show approved. Alberto Mojica, Assistant Manager backed her decision with strong support and helped with the installation.

This represents a unique opportunity to see talented artists on the big screen and view local talent in the same venue and at the same time too!
