Student training for green jobs
Submitted By Rick LaPlante
New Haven students 17 and older are eligible to receive training for green jobs through "Green Pathways," a 16-week pilot program that prepares students for jobs as energy auditors, weatherization technicians and green construction workers.
The program, promoted by the Alameda County Office of Education, is designed for at-risk youth and includes a life skills component, case management services, and post-program support, including job placement.
A mandatory orientation session will be Saturday, May 16. For more information or to register, visit www.acoe.org/acoe/Home/AboutACOE/News/Greenpathways. |
