Along with the fear and panic that accompany being unemployed are many questions people do not have answers to, whether regarding insurance, unemployment benefits, or cutting costs with a large reduction of income. "We've found that with the Bay Area being hit so hard with layoffs, it's more important than ever to help the community know their options and steps in terms of what to do following a lay off," says Janet Wan, principal of Newark-based Sierra Pacific Financial Advisors.
