April 29, 2009 > Contemporary classical musical performance Contemporary classical musical performance Submitted By Felicia Chen The Grammy-nominated UC Berkeley Chamber Chorus will be performing at Mission San Jose on Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. We put together a highly unusual program, celebrating the music of Berkeley affiliated composers over the past 70 years (current and former professors, visiting scholars, and graduate students). The music is very unique, focusing on folk rhythms and aural sonorities. Classical contemporary music isn't performed much in Fremont, so this concert will be a wonderful experience for those who appreciate musical artistry. Felicia Chen, an aspiring opera singer and recent graduate of UC Berkeley. She grew up in Fremont (and goes every weekend to visit her parents) and went to Ohlone before transferring to UC Berkeley.
