Fremont Christian baseball traveled to California School for the Deaf (CSD) on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, to decide on the field who is the top team in the Bay Counties League (BCL). It didn't take long for the Warriors of Fremont Christian to claim the top spot, as they won, 13-0, in five innings.

Due to renovations on Fremont Christian's home field, they acted as the home team in the game.

After the Warriors put up a run in the first inning on an RBI double by Kainoa Cabus, they erupted for seven more in the second inning off CSD pitcher Zac Kohler. Cabus followed up his first-inning RBI with two more on a triple; Jay Haak, who scored on Cabus' triple, preceded by lining a single through the infield for two RBIs of his own.

CSD didn't help their cause, as they committed two errors in the Warriors' seven-run second.

Haak added to his RBI total with two more on a triple to the opposite field, scoring Sean Asir and Raudel Perez. Fremont Christian added one more in the third bringing the score to 11-0 going into the fourth.

After CSD obtained their first hit of the game in the fourth by Kohler, he was caught stealing, getting the Warriors out of the inning unscathed.

CSD's Richie Dunn relieved Kohler in the fourth, and proceeded to give up two runs: Keikilani Cabus, Kainoa's younger brother, hit an RBI single to bring in the older of the Cabus duo; and Asir brought in Kaikilani with a single to round out the scoring for Fremont Christian.

Bailly pitched a complete game with ease for the Warriors, only allowing one base hit in his five innings of work. Bailly also struck out eight in the winning effort.

Fremont Christian improves to 5-0 in the BCL while CSD dropped to 4-1. CSD took on Pescadero on Monday, April 6, in a doubleheader, then Emery on the following day. Results were not available for press. Log onto for results. FC will take on Emery, Thursday, April 9, at 4 p.m. on the road. FC and CSD meet again on May 5 at CSD for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.
