Strikers play well despite loss to Break
Submitted By Blaise Castren
In an FC Fremont Girls U-15 House League soccer game played Saturday, March 28, Strikers gave up two goals in the opening 10 minutes, and three in the final 10 minutes, to drop a 5-1 decision to Break.
In between, the Strikers played pretty well. After falling behind early, Strikers bounced back when Ashley Campbell scored on a nice pass from Jenna Wondka. Later, the Strikers had several chances to tie. Wondka had three shots and Samantha Malone two that just missed.
One of Malone's shots was after she received a perfect corner kick from Cindy Tafolla, while Claire Castren was denied a score near the Break goal mouth. Kailey Richardson had a good game on defense for the Strikers, as did Rachel de Landa in midfield. |
