March 18, 2009 > Newark Cup 2009 Newark Cup 2009 Submitted By Tony Labarga and Dorian Decius This year's Newark Cup was completed last week at Newark Memorial High School. The soccer tournament is open to Newark elementary school girls and boys in grades four, five and six. The Girls finals were played on Wednesday, March 11. Snow Elementary defeated Milani in the championship final for first and second place; and Musick (2007 champ) beat Bunker (2008 champ) in the consolation final for third and fourth place. In the boys finals on Friday, March 13, it was Lincoln over Snow in the championship match for first and second (Lincoln beat Snow for the consolation final in 2008); Musick defeated Schilling in the consolation game for third and fourth places.
