Surfin' Safari is the theme of Fremont Education Foundation's annual Excellence in Education Gala. Enjoy games, boardwalk entertainment, auction and raffle prizes. Funds raised will sponsor and expand support of exceptional classroom projects, with the goal of improving academic achievement and broadening students' horizons and experiences. Each year, the Fremont Education Foundation chooses honorees - from within the Fremont Unified School District and from the greater community - for outstanding contributions to education. This year, they will celebrate the contributions of the Niles Rotary, 2009 "Excellence in Education" community honoree, and Bev Chernoff and Linda Garbarino, 2009 "Excellence in Education" school district honorees.
