Free life insurance offered through Life Bridge
Submitted By Desrie Campbell
Tri-City families are invited to take advantage of a free program that will pay for their children's educational expenses if the parent or legal guardian dies.
Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company will pay the premiums for $50,000 in term life insurance for 10 years through its national philanthropic program called LifeBridge. In the event of an insured death, the money would go directly to the educational institution to be used for expenses such as books, tuition, fees and campus room and board. Schools covered include pre-school, private school, trade school, colleges, universities, art, music and graduate schools.
To be eligible, parents and legal guardians age 19-42 must have one or more dependent children under 18, be working full or part time with a total family income between $10,000 and $40,000, and be permanent legal residents of the U.S. They must also be in good health, as determined by MassMutual's underwriting guidelines.
Tri-City families may apply for this coverage Feb. 21 or 28 from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. at MassMutual's Fremont Agency, 2201 Walnut Ave. Reservations are necessary.
There is no cost to the insured or their children, and agents receive no commission. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Desrie Campbell at 510-789-2390 or Sam Oceguera at 510-789-2408. |
