February 4, 2009 > Paint at home and abroad Paint at home and abroad Jan Schafir of Jan's Art Studios has been painting and teaching watercolor for over forty five years in Fremont. Active in the art community, Schafir has been showcasing her work at area Galleries for many years. During the month of February, Schafir usually shows her own paintings, but this year she has veered from tradition. She will proudly present paintings her students created, both at her studio in Fremont as well as those made at a painting workshop in the Dordogne area of France last September. The paintings will be on display the whole month of February. An artist reception, open to the public, will be held on Sunday, February 8, with musical entertainment by Jules Goldberg at the keyboard. Refreshments will be served.
