State of Community
The traditional State of the City address, that the mayor delivers every year, Mayor Livengood will do "in a little bit of a different fashion this year" he said. It will be called State of Community. There will be more than one speaker, more than the mayor. It will be held on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the council chambers. As time goes on Livengood will share who else will be participating. "We'll be talking about more than just the city budget and what the city is doing. We're going to take a look at our community as a whole" he said.
Mayor Livengood is already fulfilling the theme of "in a little bit of a different fashion this year." He has started incorporating other council-members into presentations, shared the names of Boy Scout Troop 92 and color guard who present the colors (flags) at every council meeting, and heralded girl scouts to present the colors, with sharing their names. |
