January 14, 2009 > Art Scholarship offered Art Scholarship offered Submitted By Roberta Moody Olive Hyde Art Guild is currently offering a $2000 scholarship for the study of art. To apply, you must be a High School senior, a Fremont resident, and have serious plans to study any of the visual arts at the college level. Application deadline is March 20, 2009. The finalists' artwork will be exhibited to the public later this year. There are two honorable mentions of $1000 each. A $500.00 award will be given to the teacher of the first place student to be used for classroom art supplies. Application forms are available through career centers and art instructors at public and private high schools in Fremont; at the City of Fremont Recreation Dept; at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery, 123 Washington Blvd., Fremont, or may be downloaded from the Olive Hyde Art Guild website at www.olivehydeartguild.org.
