California State University, East Bay presents its Winter Fiction Reading series. Author Dorothy Allison, winner of the 2007 Robert Penn Warren Award for Fiction and author of the 1993 bestseller "Bastard out of Carolina," will be present for book signing.
Among her other work "Trash-Short Stories," 1988 - won two Lambda Literary Awards and the American Library Association Prize for Lesbian/Gay Writing, and "The Women Who Hate Me," chapbook of poetry, 1983. She is the award winning editor for Quest, Conditions, and Outlook-early feminist and Lesbian and Gay journals.
