Theater Review: The wonderful world of Oz

StarStruck Theatre, a professional youth theatre company known for its imaginative and spectacular musicals, will be presenting "The Wizard of Oz." Prepare to be swept "over the rainbow" with your favorite characters - Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Toto too. The journey along the yellow brick road starts at Ohlone College's Smith Center, January 10-24, 2009.

Once again, StarStruck is pulling out all the stops, including technicians from ZFX Flying Inc. who combine unique aerial choreography and state of the art flying equipment to conjure up awe-inspiring special effects that will include flying monkeys and a Witch from the West. The production will also feature sets and costumes inspired from the MGM movie, and a full twenty- piece orchestra, along with sixty of the Bay Area's most talented youth. Other special events include: Character Dress-up day on both Sunday matinees.
