Fremont Christian Warriors improve to 7-5

Fremont Christian High School boys basketball won two out of three games in the Liberty Christian Classic held in Redding from Monday, Dec. 29, through Wednesday, Dec. 31, to improve their 2008-2009 season record to 7-5.
In game one on Monday, Dec. 29, the Warriors defeated Los Molinos, 53-43, behind the 21 points of Jericho Herzog and 17 from Jeremiah Herzog as they moved on in the winners' bracket.
Game two, on Tuesday, FC faced Hamilton City and lost to the Braves, 62-54, despite 20 points from Jeremiah Herzog and 17 from Jericho Herzog. The loss sent the Warriors to the third place game on New Year's Eve.
FC would end the year with a "bang" as they defeated American Christian Academy of Palo Cedro, 62-48, to take home the third-place trophy. Leading the Warriors were Jeremiah Herzog with 17 points and senior captain, Tony Husary, with 14. Donald Anderson also contributed 11 points in the victory.
Fremont Christian went to Emery on January 6; the result for this contest was not available in time for press. Next up for Fremont Christian boys is a visit to Oakland Military Institute of Oakland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9.
