Free2fight hunger
By Eleanor Zamora-Lajes
The number of people without food in Alameda County is skyrocketing as a result of the economic downturn. Many families, struggling between putting food on their tables, keeping their lights on and putting gas in their cars, are calling out for help for the first time. The numbers are overwhelming local food banks and charities.
Please join the employees of the Alameda County Library in our fight against hunger by donating to the Alameda County Community Food Bank. This year it's easier than ever to donate, just access the Library's website at www.aclibrary.org and click on the free2fight hunger link. |
