Life Chiropractic College West is accepting food donations for the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition, also known as FESCO. Together they are working hard to provide much needed supplies to local families during this holiday season. FESCO is a non-profit organization located in Hayward which provides emergency shelter, comprehensive supportive services, and transitional housing for homeless families with children.
In order to encourage more giving, the health center at Life West is offering a free patient physical exam, valued at $50, if a new patient brings 3 non-perishable items. To date, Life West has collected 469 items from visiting patients and will continue to accept more through December 22.
Scott Donaldson, Dean of the Life West Health Center, said, "This year the need is even greater as parents are struggling to provide even just the basic of necessities for their children. We are grateful to anyone who will open their heart and give any non-perishable items so one more family can enjoy a full meal together."
People can drop off their donations at 25001 Industrial Blvd., Hayward, CA. The health center is open Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
