The Sunol Water Temple
The Spring Valley Water Company built the water temple in 1910. Built over the confluence of three subterranean water sources, it was restored after years of neglect following the Loma Prieta earthquake. The architecture of this structure is unique and in the past it was a favorite picnic area and continues to be pleasant to the eyes. It is open to the public Monday through Friday. The entrance is located at the intersection of Niles Canyon Rd., Pleasanton-Sunol Rd. and Paloma Way. |
