CSEB runners unsuccessful at national meet

The Pioneers of Cal State East Bay ended their season at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in Kenosha, Wisc., on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The women's team finished 28 out of 32 teams. The 2008 Cal Pac Conference Champions came into the meet with high hopes, but the level of competition at the championships was far superior on this day.
Kelly Guerro had the best performance of the team, finishing 109 with a time of 19:28 on the 5K course. Nancy Velazquez (145, 19:50), Kristian Parker (163, 20:12), Bernadette Lu (179, 20:23), Johnna Hotchkiss (195, 21:09), Gabriela Cruz (200, 21:29) and Claribel Vega (206, 21:54) rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers. |
