November 5, 2008 > Denim Day supports breast cancer research Denim Day supports breast cancer research Submitted By Michiele Iorii, Development Director, Our Lady of Guadalupe School In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Fremont sponsored a school-wide Denim Day to support breast cancer research. On October1, students and staff were allowed to wear denim clothing in exchange for a minimum donation of $1. All proceeds - $225 - from Denim Day were presented to Dr. Vera Packard, Executive Director of the Hers Breast Cancer Foundation from members of the OLG Student Council and Ms. Shannon Peterman, Student Council Moderator.
