October 29, 2008 > Women of the Bible Tea Women of the Bible Tea Submitted By Peggy Horyza On behalf of St. John's Ladies Guild, we extend a special invitation to you to join us for our first "Women of the Bible Tea." This event will be held on Sunday, November 23, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Palvalkis Hall, 279 South Main Street, Milpitas. This will be a formal tea, dress casual attire. You may prefer to join the many women who will be dressing up - wearing hats and white gloves befitting a formal tea. Prizes will be awarded for the most whimsical and attractive hats. We are delighted that our guest speaker will be the Mr. Christopher Brazil, author of "Common Wisdom." Mr. Brazil is the eighth grade teacher and assistant vice-principal of St. John the Baptist School. Come learn about the strength and character, passion, power and purpose of some of the Sisters who've gone before us. Join us in embracing these women as we emulate their strength and wisdom in our own daily lives. Money raised by this event will help the Ladies Guild minister to the newly baptized, communion and confirmation classes and the youth and young adult programs of our parish and school. Requested donation is $20 per person. Advance reservations must be made by Friday, November 14. Tickets will not be available at the door.
