October 29, 2008 > Shop and Dine Milpitas Shop and Dine Milpitas Submitted By Gaye Morando The Milpitas Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a "Shop and Dine Milpitas" for the month of November, and the chamber is encouraging everyone to support your local merchants, restaurants and businesses this holiday season. On Saturday, November 8, the "Shop and Dine Milpitas" campaign will be launched at McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas with a day of exciting activities for the entire family. The program will kick-off at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 139 Ranch Drive, with a coloring contest at 11 a.m. for age groups 1-5 and 6-9 years of age. Peek-a-Boo the Clown will be working with the youngsters with fun craft projects, and Hometown Buffet's Bee Mascot will be on hand to congratulate the winners, and offer a few treats. The day's activities will include The Knack Kid's Club, floral holiday and cake demonstrations at Michaels, a fashion show at Men's Wearhouse at 2 p.m., Police Department's Fingerprinting Van and Fire Department's Kid's Safe House with the their education tours, located in the Wal-Mart parking lot, and Borders Books will be featuring guitar music by A Best Entertainment, balloon twisting by Peek-A-Boo the Clown, followed by prize drawings conducted by the Milpitas Chamber.
