Boomers fall to Pumas

Submitted By Blaise Castren

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Boomers, in their next-to-last regular-season game, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Pumas.

Earlier in the year, the Boomers had defeated the Pumas by a score of 3-0.

The first half presented many struggles for the Boomers. They were outplayed, which directly led to them yielding two goals.

However, in the second half, the Boomers applied much more pressure. They fired five shots, two by Raquel Rodas and Elena Strom, and one by Cindy Tafolla. None of the shots, however, could find the back of the net.

Synclaire Hamilton and Ciara Valdez also played well for the Boomers, whose record fell to 4-6-1.
