Choir accepted to Masterworks Series at Carnegie Hall
Submitted By Laura Johnson
The Fremont Christian School Concert Choir has been accepted to the exclusive Masterworks Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Acceptance is based upon choir's music ability demonstrated on an audition CD. They will be performing along with the Ohlone College Community Chorale and other select collegiate and high school choirs.
In an effort to raise money, FCS is having a special showing of the acclaimed new documentary "Note by Note" on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Harbor Light in Fremont. This movie follows the making of a Steinway piano - from the selection of the tree in the forest to its presentation onstage at Carnegie Hall. Director/producer, Mr. Ben Niles, is being flown in from the East coast to introduce the movie and participate in a question and answer session following the screening.
In addition, an artist will be performing on a Steinway piano brought in especially for the evening. Mr. Niles will also be available to sign DVDs of "Note by Note "which will be available for purchase.
