Heat 3, Boomers 0; Boomers 0, Titans 0.

The Boomers played the best two teams in the league and wound up with a loss - a 3-0 game against the undefeated Heat - and a scoreless tie against the second-place Titans. The Boomers, who dropped the first meeting against the Titans, bounced back with a stellar effort despite playing without leading scorer Raquel Rodas, who was injured in the loss to the Heat.

Despite the first round loss to the Titans, the Boomers had nine shots in the second round tie against the Titans, with the best opportunities being a Jenna Wondka shot that just went over the top of the net and a point-blank shot by Elena Strom. Another good chance came when Cindy Tafolla set up Ashley Campbell, who was denied by the Titans goalie.

Boomers' goalie, Lauren Youhanna, came up with two huge saves in the second half while Abby Harrison and Samantha Stephens played standout games on defense as did Ciara Valdez at midfield and Amy de Landa at forward. In the loss to the Heat, the Boomers trailed only 1-0 at the half thanks to strong defense displayed by Claire Castren and Kailey Richardson. Tafolla just missed a pair of good scoring chances for the Boomers in the second half.
