Mothers and daughter discover math and science
Submitted By Elin Thomas
For a morning of fun, hands-on math and science adventures, come to the Mother/Daughter Math & Science Discovery Day. The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Fremont Branch, proudly present their nineteenth Discovery Day for 5th and 6th grade girls on Saturday, October 25 at 8:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at Hopkins Junior High in Fremont.
You can take part in five of the nine classes. One of the classes is a show in the Hopkins Planetarium. Please prioritize your preferences on the registration form. Classes will be assigned in the order that we receive the registration forms, so do not delay. All classes will be fun.
The cost is $20 per mother (grand-mother, aunt, etc.)/daughter pair. Add $10 for a second 5th or 6th grade daughter. Dress warmly and comfortably. AAUW will provide beverages, snacks, and a folder with fun stuff to take home.
For questions call (510) 471-6934 or etomascal@comcast.net. In email put "Discovery Day" as the subject. Miriam Keller, (510) 683-9377 or miriamkel@comcast.net, is the Coordinator.
Space is limited. Registration must be received by October 18. After that, call or email to check on availability of on-site registration. Registration will not be processed without payment. You will not receive confirmation of your registration unless you provide an email address.
