The Boomers, a U14 Girls soccer team in Fremont, improved their record to 4-2 with a pair of victories - 3-0 over Deja Blue on Tuesday, Sept. 23; and 5-0 over Pretty Monsters on September 30.
In the win over Deja Blue, Jenna Wondka, Raquel Rodas and Ashley Campbell scored goals in the first half. In the second half, Elena Strom played goalie for the first time this year and helped preserve the shutout. Synclaire Hamilton, Lauren Youhanna and Kailey Richardson also had good scoring opportunities for the Boomers while Eva Liu had a solid all-around game.
Five different players tallied goals in the triumph over the Pretty Monsters. Strom scored the first, followed by Rodas, Abby Harrison and Liu - all in the first half. Hamilton tallied the game's final goal in the second half. Katie Courville also had a good game for the winners. |
