Submitted By Jaclyn Zoccoli
The Bay Area Council of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) will be holding their 25th Annual American Business Women's Day Event "Celebrate Success". The luncheon celebration is set for Sunday, September 21st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Castlewood Country Club (707 Country Club Circle, Pleasanton, CA) to recognize three outstanding businesswomen. They are Michelle Augenstein (Wardrobe for Opportunity), Bernadine F. Dutra (OneChild), and Susan Manheimer (San Mateo Chief of Police).
Bernadine F. Dutra founded and incorporated OneChild, a non-profit for children. Its purpose is to enhance the self esteem of underprivileged children, by providing them with new clothes, shoes, backpacks, school and dental supplies, books, all in a positive environment. Bernie is well known for her involvement in the Real Estate arena, in her husband's Fremont City Council campaigns, and as honorary co-chair of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation. Do join us in celebrating this local celebrity!
The program will feature the three distinguished honorees speaking on their business success while balancing career and personal needs. Their presentations will be captured on a remarkable video prepared by See 360 Studios of Pleasant Hill. The video will add a depth of presentation that will enhance each honorees impact she's had on the lives of others.
Women's Day is also a time to get to know women from all over the Bay Area. There will be focused networking sessions, as well as a tradeshow featuring businesses from all over the entire region. It is a perfect time to come to meet new contacts; share expertise, services, needs; and to get tips on how to meet and exceed the challenges in everyday business life.
Well known speaker, Pat Mayfield, will highlight the full agenda with her talk on "Negotiating Your Personal Success". Her diverse first-hand experiences, extensive education and successful leadership roles yields a powerful combination that gets results. Whether consulting, speaking or training, she works from a strong base of successful experience and a proven skill set. Pat is known for her ability to offer creative and effective sales, negotiating and business solutions. What a treat to have her join the event.
