September 3, 2008 > League of Women Voter forums League of Women Voter forums 'Because democracy is not a spectator sport' Submitted By John Smith The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City will be conducting Forums for the 13th Congressional District August 19th, starting at 6 p.m. in the Comcast Studio, located at 555 Mowry Ave. in Fremont . The first Forum will be the 13th Congressional District with Representative Pete Stark and his challenger Raymond Chui, followed by the Alameda County Transit Board with candidates H.E. Christian Peoples and Joyce Roy, and the final Forum of the evening will be Alameda County Superior Judge candidates Dennis Hayashi and Phillip Daly. The public is invited and will be asked to submit questions of the candidates if they would like.
