September 3, 2008 > Get your art critiqued Get your art critiqued Local artist Jan Schafir will be facilitating a critique at the Fremont Art Associations' (FAA) September meeting. The meeting will be held at the gallery on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. Schafir recently returned from a two week workshop at "Art in the Mountains" and has many ideas for creating great paintings from the master teachers she took lessons from. For the critique, please bring in at least three paintings, completed or not. Schafir will provide helpful ideas on how to proceed or correct any errors. The paintings do not need to be framed; however watercolors look better in mats. Schafir, is a local artist who created Jan's Art Studios in 1996 as a working studio for herself and four other artists. Here artists teach as well as consult other artists at various stages of painting. Schafir, herself teaches on a continuous schedule of painting, drawing and composition.
