Local Mystery Authors at Milpitas Library
Submitted By Melanie McInerney
On Thursday, August 14 Milpitas Library will host our second annual summer mystery panel featuring some of the Bay Area's local mystery writers. Moderated by Penny Warner, this year's panel discussion will feature Cara Black, Mark Coggins, Clare Langley-Hawthorne, and Milpitas' own Terri Thayer. Both Terri Thayer and Mark Coggins set their stories here in Silicon Valley, while Penny Warner's Connor Westphal solves crimes in the Gold Country of the Sierra foothills. Cara Black uses the streets of Paris as her backdrop for her acclaimed series and Clare Langley-Hawthorne's characters inhabit London in the Edwardian Age. The evening promises to be lively as they discuss the writing process, how they get their ideas, and characters who insist on taking control of their books.
This program is free and open to the public. The Milpitas Community Library is located at 40 N. Milpitas Blvd, Milpitas. For more information call (408) 262-1171 ext. 3616.
