To My Senior Pen Pal

Dear Ranjan Amin,

In school, we did presentations on Egyptian gods. I did my presentation on Ma'at, the goddess of truth, justice, law, and world order. We are learning a lot of things about Egypt, and I am having a lot of fun. We learned about mummification, pyramids, and Egyptian gods. I am really excited because on March 4th, we are going on a field trip to an Egyptian museum in San Jose.

Every month, we have to read a book with a certain topic for reading. After we read the book, we do a book report. Last month, we read mystery books, and we had to make a game explaining the book. This month, we have to read a book about an African-American. I like this assignment because I really like to read. I am having a lot of fun in school, and I can't wait to see you.

Sincerely your friend,
Melanie Paragas
