Fremont Blaze takes first place

Submitted By Pat Mapelli

The Fremont Blaze finished on top in their age group this Spring Season with an 8 -1 -1 record. All season they exemplified the definition of teamwork through clear communication on the field, support for one another, and their enjoyment of the game.

The Fremont Blaze may have not had the most skilled players within the U14/U15 age group, but they definitely had the most desire and passion for the game. Through most of the season, they played like a machine - all working in unison for a common goal. Offensively, they were supported by Angel Lopez, Omar Ceja, and Clayton Mapelli, along with Ephraim Avacena, Adam Peavey, Joshua Lee, and Thomas Bui.

Although the offensive group takes advantage of opportunities and scores the goals, the opportunities would not be possible without a solid defensive group and excellent goal keeping. Defensively they were supported by Brandon Kuang, Jacob Malone, Jacob Dutra, Alex Gallegos, Kian Khatami, and Andrew Yin. Goal keeping was primarily supported by Adrian Fuentes, Arman Chini, and Ryan Habibi. The defensive group and goal keepers only allowed 7 goals this season; five games were shut outs - great job!

Also to be recognized are the coaches and the parent volunteers, without whom none of this would be possible. Their time and efforts are appreciated by all and will hopefully continue in the future.

Congratulations Fremont Blaze - Well Done
