Pavitra Ravishankar had given the Icebirds a lead of 1-0 with her first goal of the season before the Aftershocks tied the game just before halftime. Both goals by the winners came after shots by Jenna Wondka. Prior to Stephens' goal, the Icebirds fired seven shots on the Aftershocks' goal, including two by Katie Courville that just missed. Kailey Richardson, Monica Dunn and Claire Castren had standout games defensively for the Icebirds.
