Spring Fever Car Show
By Mona Shah
The weather is warm and the cars are hot. Whether your taste is for old or new, hot rods, sedans, coupes or whatever rules the road, this show promises to display many past and present lords of the pavement. The historic district of Niles always has something to liven up days and evenings, no matter what time of year. However, when the weather turns balmy, the pace quickens and a parade of activities begins in this scenic setting. Everyone is invited to experience the Old West atmosphere, an eclectic range of shopping and, of course, close inspection of beautiful automobiles.
The car show promises to entertain the whole family, car enthusiasts or not, with food, music raffles, and, of course, some great shops that offer an incredible range of antiques, memorabilia, curios, art, glassblowing and so much more. This year the popular 50/50 raffle will return, last year's winner made a killing! Money raised at the event will help fund the annual Christmas Parade in Niles. Hot Rods will provide live entertainment, playing music from the 60's and 70's.
For those who have yet to experience a day in Niles, this is the excuse to be introduced to a jewel in your neighborhood. For return visitors, there is no need to entice a repeat visit.
