Calling all Comic and Anime fans! Get ready to explore the amazing world of graphics and zines on Saturday, April 26, at the Teen Center at Central Park from 10 am. - 5 p.m. The City of Fremont and P.M.B.Q. studio is hosting its fourth annual Graphic Expo. The show will feature noted graphic artists, anime screenings, artwork classes, and local bands for fun and entertainment. This event is for teens from ages 12 - 19 years; children under 12 years of age should be accompanied during the day.

Recognized creators of this colorful and unique artistic expression will feature their work while budding artists will have the opportunity to learn how to develop and assemble their own mini comic. Famous graphic artists Oliver Chin, Christian Sy, Michael Slack, and Ben Walker will display their artwork at the Expo. Christian Sy will teach Manga art skills to kids interested in becoming a cartoonist in the near future. Along with exhibits by professional artists, students from local junior high and high schools will present their art too including Pirouz Mehmandoost and Laura Ramie from Washington High School.

Comics and refreshments will be on sale at the Expo. Attendees can learn to create mixed media art and zine work for only $5 and browse at booths set up by vendors such as Anime Palace, Anime 101, Anime V, Bay Area Artists Unite, City of Fremont Recreation Department, Collectors Universe & Anime, Slave Labor Graphics, and many others who will be selling their art supplies and anime materials to enthusiasts.

Expo doesn't stop with comic art displays and workshops; musical performances by local and guest bands such as Fleischeslust, Quarter Circle Jab, Destroy All Operating Systems (DAOS), and Gain to Lose will enhance the festive atmosphere. Be prepared for exciting music including video games music, metal rock and Japanese rock.
