Fourth of July parade at Centerville
By Bosky Panjvani
This year, the 4th of July parade for the City of Fremont will be held in the Centerville District with the theme, "America Sings." Nearly 15,000 people are estimated to attend this event, and the 2008 Parade Steering Committee is aiming to generate $50,000 for this parade.
The committee is looking for sponsors to make this event entertaining and joyful for participants and spectators. Tax Deductible donations made to this event will go toward police, medical and city staff at the event, awards and prize money.
Different donation or sponsor levels and packages are available. Businesses can donate as the America Sings Sponsorship for $15,000, the Star Spangled Banner for $10,000, My Country Tis of Thee for $5,000, and You Are a Grand Old Flag Sponsorship for $1,000. The business community can participate and receive VIP sponsorships with benefits including an in-parade advertisement, company name and logo on all parade advertisements and a complementary invitation to the reception with seats in the VIP section reviewing stand.
Apart from VIP sponsorships, the parade committee also has a Proud to be An American Sponsorship for a payment of $500, Stars and Stripes Forever for $250, a Minuteman Sponsorship for $150, and a Yankee Doodle Dandy Sponsorship for $25.
