March 26, 2008 > Community Cultural Event Featuring Rita Moreno a Great Success Community Cultural Event Featuring Rita Moreno a Great Success Washington Hospital Healthcare Foundation's Community Cultural Event featuring multi-award winning performer Rita Moreno was held on February 29 at the Ohlone College Smith Center. The evening was a great success with more than 250 guests attending. Rita Moreno shared stories from her long career in entertainment and personally greeted and posed for photos with sponsors at the dessert reception that followed. More than $10,000 was raised, with proceeds benefiting Washington Hospital's Stroke Response Program. The tournament will be held on Monday, May 19 at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. Proceeds from the tournament benefit local cancer services and hospice care. Entry fee is $275 and includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, on-course beverages, special awards and prizes. Deadline for registration is April 28.
